Founder and Owner, Family Nurse Practitioner
Christine Sagan, MSN, APRN, FNP-BC
Christine Sagan has been a board-certified family nurse practitioner in private practice since 2007 and is the proud founder of Vitae Integrative Medical Center. Opening her own clinic was not just a professional goal, but a lifelong dream—Vitae is the embodiment of her vision for healthcare that is deeply human, holistic, and transformative. Christine is passionate about treating the whole family and has extensive expertise in women’s health, hormone optimization for both men and women, thyroid and endocrine disorders, weight management, gastrointestinal health (IBS, SIBO, food sensitivities), adrenal fatigue, allergies, and chronic disease management, including hypertension, diabetes, and hyperlipidemia. Her approach blends cutting-edge medicine with compassionate care, always emphasizing prevention and the root causes of illness. A lifelong learner, Christine invests deeply in her own growth—attending multiple medical conferences each year, participating in retreats, and continuously studying the latest in longevity, biohacking, and functional medicine. She is an avid reader and visionary, always bringing fresh insight back to her patients and team. Her passion for travel spans more than 30 years and has shaped her perspective on health, healing, and human connection. In 2025, she launched a retreat company, EVOLV, to share this life-changing dimension of healing with others—creating spaces where individuals can restore balance, connect deeply, and evolve. Known for her positive, hopeful outlook, Christine partners with her patients to help them reclaim energy, restore balance, and live fully. She believes that true healing happens when modern medicine and holistic care meet—empowering individuals to take an active role in their well-being.

Naturopathic Doctor
Dr. Natalie Wiggins, ND
Dr. Natalie Wiggins is a licensed Naturopathic Doctor and graduate of Sonoran University of Health Sciences. She is passionate about empowering patients in their health journey and meets their needs by providing individualized care, tailoring treatment to their unique presentation. Drawing from both naturopathic and conventional medicine, Dr. Wiggins utilizes her extensive knowledge of natural therapies and allopathic medicine to create truly integrative, safe, and effective treatment plans. Naturopathic medicine has always been at the forefront of "longevity medicine", and she maintains current knowledge in this area. She trained as an herbalist prior to medical school and loves utilizing plant medicines in her practice. Her clinical focus includes mental health, digestive wellness, hormones, metabolic disorders, cardiovascular health, and overall health optimization. Her many years of training in Psychedelic-Assisted Therapies have made her instrumental in developing and maintaining Vitae’s Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy program. She recognizes the need to treat the whole person, which often includes a mental health component, and she has extensive experience in guiding patients through this transformative healing process. In addition, she provides care across all stages of life, including well-child visits and women’s annual exams. Patients value Dr. Wiggins' knowledge, compassion, attentiveness, and the way she partners with them to design personal care that helps them reach their healthcare goals. As much as she enjoys her job, the most enriching and humbling part of her life has been the honor of being mom to her three amazing kids. In her free time, Dr. Wiggins recharges by spending time appreciating the awe of nature- she particularly enjoys trees, clouds, and moss. She loves painting, hiking, alpine skiing, kayaking, and traveling.

Family Nurse Practitioner
Staci L. Johnson, MSN, APRN, FNP-BC
Staci is a Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and a licensed Advanced Practice Registered Nurse in Alaska. She earned her Master’s in Nursing from Allen College in Waterloo, IA in 2008 and has since built a wide-ranging career in healthcare. Her experience spans critical care, the cardiac catheterization lab, labor and delivery, women’s health, ENT, medical spa, pain management, urgent care, and family medicine, as well as serving as an instructor for nurse practitioner students at the University of Alaska Anchorage, Ball State University, and Allen College. For the past several years, Staci has been proud to call Vitae Integrative Medical Center home. She is passionate about walking alongside patients in their health journey, blending functional, integrative, and traditional medicine to create individualized plans of care. She takes the time to listen deeply, educate thoroughly, and partner with each person to optimize their health and wellness. Outside of her professional life, Staci finds her greatest joy in her family. As a mom of two boys, she values balance, connection, and making Alaska—her home for nearly two decades—a place where both her family and patients can thrive. Staci’s philosophy centers on collaboration and empowerment. She believes health is best achieved through personalized care, prevention, and lifestyle support, while also recognizing the role of alternative therapies when appropriate. Her goal is to honor the unique needs of every patient and help them find their own path toward lasting vitality.

Family Nurse Practitioner
Debby Maloney, MSN, APRN, FNP-BC
Born and raised in the heart of New England, Debby is a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) with enough grit, heart, and no-nonsense wisdom to make any New Englander proud. With more than 30 years of experience across civilian and military roles—from the fast pace of the ER to the complexities of neurology—she brings sharp clinical skills, deep knowledge, and a genuine love for patient care. Debby believes in treating the whole person, not just the symptoms. Using a team-based, evidence-driven approach, she helps her patients live healthier, more empowered lives. She’s especially passionate about hormone replacement therapy (HRT), guiding patients toward renewed vitality and balance, and is expanding her expertise into ketamine-assisted psychotherapy—an innovative and promising path in mental health care. Much of Debby’s education came through her service in the U.S. Air Force, followed by her BSN from Boise State University and an MSN from Simmons University. She’s board-certified through the American Nurses Credentialing Center and always keeps an eye on what’s next in medicine. Outside the clinic, Debby loves gathering by a campfire with her husband, two dogs, and their trusty “glamping crew,” swapping stories under the stars. She’s also a devoted quilter and lifelong crafter, channeling creativity into cozy works of art, one stitch at a time. Whether she’s guiding patients on their health journeys or piecing together a new quilt, Debby does it all with heart, humor, and a whole lot of New England flair.

Shannon Tesnow, DNP, APRN, FNP-BC
Shannon Tesnow, DNP, APRN, FNP-BC, is a doctoral-prepared Family Nurse Practitioner with a diverse and well-rounded healthcare background spanning optics, dentistry, and nursing. She brings specialized experience in radiation oncology and chemotherapy, where she has provided compassionate, evidence-based care to both adult and pediatric patients navigating complex and often challenging diagnoses. Shannon is deeply passionate about integrative medicine, blending the best of conventional Western medical practices with holistic, patient-centered approaches to promote optimal health and wellness. Her background in oncology has shaped her ability to support patients and families with empathy, education, and a deep commitment to improving quality of life. As a nurse practitioner, she is passionate about building meaningful relationships with her patients and guiding them through their health journey with a holistic and individualized approach. Her clinical philosophy emphasizes collaboration, education, and empowering patients to take an active role in their health journey. Shannon strives to create a supportive and individualized care experience that honors each patient’s unique needs, values, and goals. Outside of her professional life, Shannon finds joy in spending time with her three beautiful daughters and soon to be new husband, who are the center of her world. She enjoys hiking, knitting, and traveling, embracing opportunities to explore nature and experience new places. Shannon values balance, connection, and creating a life that nurtures both her family and her passion for helping others.

Licensed Acupuncturist
Brian Yelverton, L.Ac
Brian Yelverton is a Nationally Certified licensed Acupuncturist who graduated Magna Cum Laude from the American Institute of Alternative Medicine. He further studied, on internship, at the International Hospital in Beijing, China, following Master Acupuncturists considered to be National Treasures. Brian is fascinated by the art and science of acupuncture and seeks to treat every person with care and attention, meeting them where they are at, while cheering them on to a happier, healthier life. He has vast experience treating all sorts of pain and sports injuries and has worked with several of Alaska’s Olympic champions. Brian has helped people with various auto-immune disorders: MS, Parkinson’s, crohn’s disease, to name a few. He has helped our Veterans and other trauma survivors with PTSD, anxiety and substance abuse. Whether it’s emotional or physical ailments, Brian has seen in his years of practice that acupuncture can help relieve pain and calm the spirit. His goal is simply to aid in restoring balance and vitality with those he treats. Brian’s open, caring, genuine heart seeks to help everyone he meets, while being honored to serve.

Donna "Sunny" McKellar, LPC
Since 2010, Sunny has served as a Licensed Professional Counselor with deep roots in both traditional and forward-thinking approaches to mental wellness. She’s known for her compassionate presence and her ability to hold safe relational space for so many people from children to adults who come from all different walks of life. Sunny’s work blends the clinical and the experiential—offering modalities like EMDR, neurofeedback, HeartMath, EFT, Alpha Stim, IFS, Somatic awareness, and psychedelic-assisted therapies including ketamine and MAPS MDMA training. Whether she’s facilitating intensive healing sessions, leading wellness retreats, or mentoring fellow therapists, she meets people exactly where they are and helps guide them toward their goals. From Naval warships to classrooms, retreat centers to stateside, and overseas military installations, Sunny brings decades of experience and countless accolades—including awards for meritorious civilian service, national conference presentations, and leadership roles overseeing hundreds of therapists worldwide. Her heart-led, holistic approach is grounded in both empirical science and soul, helping clients thrive beyond survival. Sunny believes healing always happens through connection—and that every person holds the innate capacity to transform pain into power. Her vision is to create a world where growth and resilience are accessible to all, where people are seen not as their trauma, but as their whole, dynamic selves. Her mission is to walk beside individuals on their journey, offering integrative, trauma-informed care that restores balance, builds resilience, reawakens and recognizes purpose.

Stephanie Roger, MA, LPC, NBCC
Stephanie Roger is a Licensed Professional Counselor, National Board Certified Counselor, and Certified Clinical Trauma Specialist with a rich background in developmental psychology and human development counseling. She has spent her career supporting individuals and families through trauma, major life transitions, and complex family dynamics, with a special passion for working with children, adolescents, and young adults. Her clinical experience spans community mental health, child welfare, and school-based settings, where she provided individual and family therapy, reunification support, and guidance through some of life’s most challenging moments. Stephanie draws from CBT, DBT, Solution-Focused, and Person-Centered approaches—integrating evidence-based practices with deep empathy and a strong belief in every person’s innate capacity for growth, healing, and meaningful change. In addition to her clinical work, Stephanie has trained educators, administrators, and nonprofit leaders on trauma-informed care, social-emotional learning, and equity. She is deeply committed to creating spaces where people feel safe, seen, and supported as they navigate their healing journeys. Stephanie brings both skill and heart to the Vitae community, where she is honored to walk alongside individuals and families as they restore balance and reclaim their wholeness.
